Tijjani Reijnders set to leave Manchester City for Saudi Pro League
Tijjani Reijnders is expected to leave Manchester City for Al-Qadsiah after one season, with a medical and final personal terms still to come.
Tijjani Reijnders, 28, is set to leave Manchester City for Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah after one season at the Etihad. His campaign included 47 appearances, seven goals and eight assists, but it is now expected to be his only year with the English club.
The Netherlands international has yet to complete the move. A medical is still required, while the final details of his personal agreement are understood to be close to completion. Reijnders trained away from the main City squad on Thursday as the transfer process advanced.
Reijnders joined City from AC Milan during the 2025/26 season for €54.90 million. That move came after his spell with Milan, which began following a transfer from AZ Alkmaar in 2023/24. He had earlier moved between AZ Alkmaar and RKC Waalwijk during the 2019/20 season.
The central midfielder is expected to travel to Saudi Arabia on Monday to complete the remaining formalities. If the transfer is concluded as planned, he could make his Al-Qadsiah debut against Al-Ittihad in the second round of the Roshn League next Friday.
Reijnders was also involved with the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup. He started the group-stage fixtures against Japan, Sweden and Tunisia before missing the last-32 match against Morocco, which the Dutch side lost on penalties.
His departure would bring a quick end to a City stay that began with a significant transfer fee and one full season of first-team involvement. Reijnders is listed as a central midfielder and has a current market value of €50 million at Manchester City.
