Tottenham agree £75m deal to sign Man City winger Savinho this summer
Tottenham have agreed a deal worth about £75m upfront for Manchester City winger Savinho, with a further £10m possible in add-ons.
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City winger Savinho for an initial fee of about £75 million, with another £10m available through add-ons. The 22-year-old Brazil international is set to move to north London after Tottenham’s unsuccessful attempt to recruit him during the 2025-26 campaign.
Savinho’s transfer is expected to push Tottenham’s close-season spending above £300m as manager Roberto De Zerbi reshapes a squad that narrowly avoided relegation last season. The winger could become an immediate starter, with the club facing several fitness concerns ahead of Saturday’s Premier League opener away to Brentford.
James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert are either recovering from injuries or remain unavailable. Savinho’s arrival would therefore give De Zerbi another wide attacking option at the start of the campaign, provided the move is completed in time for the trip to Brentford.
The Brazilian made 84 appearances for City, scoring seven goals and supplying 16 assists, but did not establish himself as a regular starter. His departure would open space in Pep Guardiola’s squad, with City already considering Palmeiras winger Allan Elias as a possible replacement.
Allan, also known simply as Allan, came through Palmeiras’ academy and has played 95 times for the senior side. He has scored nine goals and created 11 more in those matches, while his under-20 record stands at 20 goals and four assists from 54 appearances.
City’s interest in Allan has grown as Savinho’s move has advanced, although the club is expected to accelerate its pursuit only once the Tottenham transfer is completed. Tottenham are also interested in City forward Omar Marmoush after the Egypt international endured an underwhelming spell in Manchester, but Savinho is the deal currently closest to completion.
