Island AllStars Above 45: Sure B Homes win third-place playoff 3-1

Sure B Homes secured third place in the Island AllStars Sports Club Above 45 Football Tournament by defeating Cartel Beach 3-1 in the playoff at Lagos Business School. The result gave Sure B Homes a winning finish and a third-place medal at the tournament finale.

Sure B Homes were more effective in front of goal during the contest, converting their opportunities to establish a clear advantage over Cartel Beach. The victory brought their campaign to a close with the third-place award.

The finale also featured a separate dramatic contest involving Dinice Royal Investment. Dinice fell behind before recovering to make the score 1-1, sending the match to a penalty shootout.

Dinice Royal Investment then prevailed 3-2 on penalties. Their recovery and composure during the shootout added another competitive highlight to the closing programme.

Beyond the football, the event recognised people whose backing supported the Island AllStars Sports Club and its Above 45 initiative. Chief Nnaemeka Nzenwa received the Gold Super Match Ambassador award for his support of the club.

Mr Joe Chinweike Belonwu and Mr Amonye Chukwunwendu Samuel were presented with VIP Gold Super Match Ambassador honours. The awards formed part of a finale that combined veteran football, competitive matches and recognition for contributors to the tournament.
