
Miller and Louw win opening ITT titles at 2026 Tour de Windhoek
Alex Miller and Lize-Ann Louw won the opening individual time trials at the 2026 Pupkewitz Megabuild Tour de Windhoek in Namibia.
Alex Miller won the men’s opening individual time trial in 12 minutes 43 seconds, while Lize-Ann Louw took the women’s race in 14:34 at the 2026 Pupkewitz Megabuild Tour de Windhoek. The opening stage was held on Thursday afternoon at the new Rehoboth Bridge.
Miller, representing King Price Racing, finished 43 seconds ahead of Hollard Elite’s Christiaan van der Westhuizen, who recorded 13:26. Miller’s team-mate Ernest Arnold Roets placed third in 13:36, giving King Price Racing two riders on the men’s podium.
Louw, from South Africa’s Tshenolo Women Pro Cycling Team, led the women’s field. Liezel Hellena Jordan of Pirtek Hollard was runner-up in 15:12, while her team-mate Kelsey Jade van Schoor completed the podium with a time of 15:20.
The opening results also placed King Price Racing first in the men’s team classification. Hollard Elite were second, Angola’s JT300 third and Hollard Ambassadors fourth. Pirtek Hollard led the women’s team standings, ahead of Tshenolo Women Pro Cycling Team and Cymot Ladies.
Miller’s victory gives King Price Racing the strongest early position among the men’s teams, while Louw’s individual success came alongside Tshenolo’s second place in the women’s classification. The women’s Pirtek Hollard squad includes Namibia’s Anri Greeff, Jordan, Louise Breed, Danika Lombard and Van Schoor, the 2024 Tour de Windhoek winner.
The five-stage event runs from 13 to 16 August around Windhoek and features riders from Namibia and neighbouring countries. Hollard Elite have defending champion Drikus Coetzee in their men’s line-up, while King Price Racing also includes Martin Freyer, Marco Thiel, Mike Baartman and Marcel Henle. Cymot Ladies include leading Namibian junior Rosemarie Thiel, Nicola Sauber and Angola’s Megan Brechet.
